Default Caching problem (I think)

One one of my sites, visitors occasionally tell me that they're seeing content that is no longer there. That is, I've edited pages, uploaded new versions, checked them from several computers at this end using several browsers. The new content is there.

But some people are still seeing old pages.

I had a chance to talk to one on the phone while she tried various things. She uses Firefox on a PC (not sure what version). Refreshing the page didn't change anything, but when I had her start MSIE and visit the same URL, she saw the new (correct) content.

Apparently some setting (or bug?) in her version of Firefox is causing the pages to be cached despite the fact that updated versions are available, and for it to hold onto the cached versions despite the user asking for a refresh.

Does this sound familiar to any of our Firefox users?

Suggestions to force refreshes?

I've seen meta tags like so as one suggestion:
