Default Quark 4 & 7 together

Is it possible to have Quark 4 and 7 on one PC? Not running simultaneously, of course

I've managed to avoid having to install v7 so far, but this might not last! I don't want to open clients' 4.1 files in 7, because I like to give them back my corrected file in the same version that they supplied (so they can open it).

I have 6.5 and 7 installed so I wouldn't imagine you'll have a problem with 4 and 7. I have gotten into the habit of right clicking and choosing "Open With.." to choose which version to open with.

Coming in very late here ... I've now got Quark 4, 5, 6.5 AND 7 installed on the same PC.

No problem, although I haven't attempted to run two versions at the same time!

Thanks, Marlene, but I decided not to upgrade my PC Quark from 4.1 in the end. I've only ever had two people submitting PC Quark artwork in 7 (none at all in 6.5) and on both occasions I ran the jobs using the demo!

On the rare occasions that we get sent Mac Quark files, they're invariably v6.5, and PC files are still 4.1. Only one customer in the past two years has sent in PageWrecker artwork, thankfully, and the vast majority seem to be using Illustrator, InDesign CS2, or CorelDraw (in that order of popularity).

But thanks for the nod: at least I won't be worried about installing 7 if I have to!
