After seeing reports in the papers yesterday, I was ready to take a look at the new open source browser from Google, dubbed Chrome.
Only they withdrew it some time this morning, and also seem to have deleted cached pages. Earlier I was able to view a series of cartoon panels on PC World explaining how Chrome works and its rationale, but that site is now down for maintenance (the pages were loading slowly when I was there). A few visual records have survived — see the unofficial Google site Blogoscoped. Wolfgang Bruener on TGDaily also has a few notes about the browser and its appearance. Anyway, my interest is way premature — seems the release, when it happens, is for Windows only. __________________ :: |
