OK, folks... who thought I'd be posting again so soon in a non web section?
This year, in addition to being the web master for agla.org, I joined the board of directors as Communications Director. Which means I'm still in charge of agla.org but also the newsletter. Our Newsletter Editor of 5 years stepped down at the same time, but I found someone with good experience, but she's not a DTP professional. She did a great job on our first issue, but she disagrees with me on one point that goes against my training. Her headers weren't consistent sizes plus they were all serif, some italic, some bold. I want the headers to be consistent and sans serif. I'd also like the footer (with the org name and page number) to be sans serif to be more separate... she did agree to bold and italicize the footer, but it doesn't look quite right to me. I haven't done paper layout for a decade; can someone point me to any sources I can forward that talk about fonts and headers? My layout person thinks it's wrong to ever change the font... I need to change that. Thanks, __________________ Dennis |
