If you didn't check the comments in the "Clearing Word's Track Changes...", then, if you have the time, do go back and check the comments--do a Find on the page for "Quark" (no quotes)--because there are a number of references to Quark in the comments even though the article itself is geared to InDesign.

From reading while researching this, using "Accept All Changes" in Word does seem to be what most people do--I'd missed your later edit...'-}}
