Default Ventura 8 Problem

One of my clients is still using Ventura 8 for some legacy documents. When he tries to print Postscript to File (in order to create a PDF), the file location dialog box hangs. Printing directly to a PS printer works fine. The other paths for creating PDFs either inside Ventura or with the Adobe PDF printer driver also hang.

Print to File from Word is OK.

CutePDF works just fine.

Any thoughts?
