That printer, as Don noted, may be a bit of overkill. Take a look at the Epson and Canon "Pro" lines of printers--for Epson, it's their "Professional Imaging" line and for Canon, it's the "Professional & Large Format Printers"--and see what both have to offer.

I think you need to have a sense of how wide the banners need to be and that will guide you to the printer...
