Scheduled downtime – forum software upgrade

We will be closing the forum for an unspecified period of time (hours, not days) to upgrade to a later version of the forum software. We haven't done an upgrade for quite some time, but need to do one now for compatibility with PHP 5.5.

The plan at this stage is to close the forum at 2.00pm on Friday 13th November Eastern Standard Time and open it again several hours later. I don't know how long this will take, but I'll post here when we're open again, so if you're keen to know, subscribe to this thread and you'll receive an email if you have notifications turned on.
