My laptop speakers don't get loud enough. So I either plug in a little speaker I have or use headphones. The speaker is inconvenient because the chord is too short for me to set the speaker on the couch next to me. The headphones sound good, but I can't really use them lying down. So I looked for other solutions, and this time I didn't do my usual too-extensive research. I just searched Amazon and grabbed the first thing that looked good. It's a USB connection that it attaches the top/back of the lid. Now I'm tempted to research more to see if I got the right thing, but I'm refraining.
Anyway, this is what I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VAK1I2. Pros: The volume is not a problem anymore. It's no longer pointless to play music on the computer. It's no worse than my other small speaker. Cons: Small speakers equals small sound. My laptop is heavier. The ew center of gravity makes it awkward to move about. I worry that it might damage my computer in some unknown way. But, my problem is solved. I can now move my computer from laptop to table to bed and back without worrying about how I'm going to listen. |
