I asked in the Flefo forum some years ago what US Americans called a place where passengers entered and left railway/railroad trains; I asked then, because I had just become aware of younger Britons saying 'train station' instead of 'railway station'. I got replies from Americans that had been brought up in various parts of the USA, and they were very, er, varied. How do you think they'd answer now? 'Train station' is well on its way to become established usage in England.
