Is it a feature that can be disabled?

I hate it when Microsoft (or any vendor) pulls stunts like that. Like when I allowed Windows 10 to install one of the semi-annual feature updates, and when the computer rebooted -- the pretty landscape photo on the opening screen was all blurred out.

I thought the update had broken my computer. Come to find out, that was another [alleged] "feature." I quite frankly can't divine who in their right mind would want that "feature." It made the image totally unviewable. What ticked me off was that there was no warning, no notice of any sort. IMHO they should have done it the other way -- make the fuzzy view the option, and the clear view the default. And then announce for the geeks who might want that (all two or three of them) how to turn it on.

Yes, all I had to do was uncheck the box. The big problem was finding it.

I think the worst feature out there is anti-virus programs that delete software without asking. This includes programs one doesn't even have installed that are virus-free.
