Excellent idea.

Or best of both worlds: at one time, CorelDRAW was able to convert drawings into TrueType fonts. You could start with text in a font that was close, convert to curves, twiddle it to suit, then convert to a new font.

IF you have CorelDRAW.
And a high tolerance for nitpickyfiddly procedures. It was a VERY fussy thing.

If there's a regular need for these characters, then it'd be worth considering. For one-time use, graphics, baby, graphics.
