Default Logo critique: dental lab

My client wants a revised logo. I don't think they necessarily want it fully redone, but refined and standardized, so I'm keeping the main colors and font for now. Attached are my variations (the top four/eight are lumped together as slight variations of one another) and their current logo.

The current logo has awkward balance/white space, which I improved. I dislike they're use of grey text, which makes it slightly dim. Lastly, I'd like to include the tooth somehow to help imply "dental," but my opinions seem limited. I'd appreciate feedback.

I find the ones that modify the last O (3, 4 & 6) confusing.

Thank you, sky4forums. I'm not totally confident in their readability. However, I do like this version with an added shadow detail on the tooth (see attached).

Just for you! I was VERY brave and looked at them...

I prefer the white background over the black background and of the ones with the modified "O", I think the one with the tooth (with shadow) is best--I don't like the dark/black "O" and if not the "O" with the tooth, then any of the ones with the regular "O".

I prefer the san serif "Dental Laboratory" over the serif version...

Hope the above proves useful...'-}}

Thanks, terrie! I favor the shadowed tooth version as well, particularly on white. I'm on the fence about serif vs. sans serif, but sans seems far easier to read at small scale, so maybe I should incorporate it into the shadowed tooth version. I sent the client my concepts early Monday morning and have yet to hear back.

I think Andrew has a point (none of the multiple possible puns intended...'-}}) with respect to the font size for "Dental Laboratory"--I do think the san serif reads more easily--but if the client chooses the logo with the shadowed tooth, then "studio" become less ambiguous?

I like the one that is top left, but maybe the 2 could be as big as a 3.

I also wonder if "Dental Laboratory" needs to be a bit larger because name of the place sounds more a place to go dancing than a place that works with teeth.
