Default Beef olives & capers

My daughter from Toronto, my wife, and I had beef olives containing capers in the stuffing for dinner this evening, and my daughter remarked that she had not seen capers on sale in Canada. On the Web, there are many British sites saying what capers are and giving recipes for beef olives (bragioli in Italian). How well are both known in the USA (and Canada)?
