Default Tips on buying a cell phone

The Washington Post's Rob Pegoraro had an interesting article yesterday (Sunday) on buying a cell phone with 5 usefu buying tips--see the article for full details on the individual tips:

1. "Know your upgrade options" -- can you update to a new OS?

2. "Battery life counts, if you can define it" -- check data and GPS battery-life estimates

3. "App selection only goes so far"

4. "Don't buy by the camera" -- even with more megapixels, camera images are not as good as a dedicated camera

5. "You'll have to trust the keyboard"
