Default New Posts question

I like the New Posts option for reading the forum but I have a question about it. I occasionally have a thread that I not interested in reading. The New Posts still keeps showing it as unread with the message: The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts. How do I get the New Posts screen to stop showing me those threads?

Don't know what others do, but going to 'Quick Links' and clicking 'Mark Forums Read' occasionally works just fine.

That is exactly what I was looking for.
