Default PDF Image Resolution

I am working on a 140 page journal in ID CS6. Most of the ads come in as PDFs. The job is done and at the printer. Their pre-press operation uses Kodak Insite for soft proofs. I am looking through those now. They told me that a number of the ad pages contain images that are low-rez.

Does anyone know how to read the resolution of images embedded in PDFs?
