Default Despair & Disbelief

My wife was recently invited to a business forum in Manchester, hosted by the BBC. I really did expect them to know better, but alas - I was obviously wrong.

When she got the confirmation email and an attachment with information about when and where it did tell her the date (which she already knew), the time was given as between 6 and 9 (I am assuming they meant pm, no-one would meet that early in the morning, would they?), the address informed her of the name of the room and the name of the building (there must be a building with that name somewhere in Manchester...) and the attachment was a PowerPoint slide.

What numpty concocted this and why did they even agree to do it when they obviously have no idea? How come they were allowed to try!?
