Default Ann...keeping cool and uncrisped?

I just read in the paper today about the terrible fires in Australia. Fingers crossed that you are out of harm's way...

Janie Kibble (remember her from E-L?) posted a pic on Facebook of smoke visible from her place - fortunately too far away to be a threat, but scary nonetheless. My bit of California has been lucky this year (so far, knock wood) but we sure could use some rain.

I wish I could send you some of our rain! We've had a months worth of it in 24 hours, and it is still raining.

There is flooding and one person lost their life a little further up the river Derwent, which goes through Derby where I live.

We live on a hill so we should be ok. But other areas of the north of England are harder hit than we are and there are over a hundred flood warnings in place, so we'll have to wait and see what happens next.

It's a good thing this "climate change" stuff is all a hoax perpetrated by left-wing commie scientists. If it were real, just think how bad things could get!

Absolutely yes...it must be really scary being that close--you would likely know that feeling also. I do hope she will be ok...
