Good thing i was asleep for most of this. Or bad thing I woke up early. A message that took up the entire screen (large font) said "It's taking a bit longer than expected, but we'll get there as fast as we can." Sort of hard to go back to sleep after that. I tried. A half hour later I looked again and a screen was asking me about how I wanted my privacy settings. And shortly after that Windows started. Seems to be okay now.

Anyway, I just did a search and some unofficial advice about this says to wait five to seven hours. In my case waiting paid off.
