I am posting this in case it helps someone else. Took me awhile to figure this out.
In browser, open Gmail. In the top right, click Settings Settings and then See all settings. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab. In the "POP download" section, select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on. Create New Persona Tab: Generic Properties Real Name: your name Email address: full gmail address User Name: gmail username, WITHOUT DOMAIN SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com Authentication Allowed: check Use submission port (587) Secure Sockets when sending: Required, Alternate Port Tab: Incoming mail Server: pop.gmail.com Configuration: POP Authentication style Passwords Secure Sockets when Receiving: Required, Alternate Port Then you have to tell gmail that you are using a less secure email client Go to https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps and set to "yes". |
