A dot with a circle around it appears on my task bar. When I mouse over it the message says "Your location is currently in use." Well, of course it is. I'm sitting in my location using my computer. So this is an odd thing to say. So I looked it up. And what it really means is "we know where you are, sucker."
So, what can a poor Windows user do. Well, of course there are a bunch of articles on the Internet telling me what I can do. Like
this one, which also tells you how to stop the Microsoft apps from tracking you. I'd shut all of my trackers down, but frankly I'm afraid Cortana will get mad at me. She wants to know where I am at all times in case I ask here for a weather forecast. But, maybe I should check this out anyway. Maybe a program other than Cortana is getting friskier than it should be.
