Default (almost) newest design

May have mentioned already, but my preferred web hosting company has decided to shut down. Got to be too much work as a part-time job on the side.

So, since super cheap hosting isn't very common (the recommended alternative would have cost some of my sites up to $100/month) I found a host that allows me to resell up to 20 domains with more than enough space for my sites.

In doing so, I'm setting up a little non-business just because I needed a primary web site for my account. I'm keeping dacoyle.com on my old server for now (special favor) but need to move my political and nonprofit sites.

So, just for the heck of it, I'm using a domain name I reserved one night after a few glasses of wine, donkeysass.com .

It's not really a business, as I'm only going to make about $1-2 an hour from it monthly, but it's better than all volunteer, eh? I opened the account tonight and hope to get it online tomorrow night or Wednesday. Waiting for the account to be approved so have the first draft in a folder on my home page for now.

No matter what anyonem tells you, the site is Donkey Sass. Don't listen to anyone that tries to tell you www.donkeysass.com means anything else. Trust me, I'm a web designer.

Good luck with it, Dennis.

BTW, you appear to have the why and where back-to-front on the page that does have the DonkeySass content.

Love the domain name - whatever it means

Good home page, too.

Minor nits in "Web Design" near the bottom:
  • ypot in "non-incumbent candidates in or near Arlingotn, VA"
  • "I may or may not be able to offer hosting service as I'm limited to domain registrations." doesn't parse - if you're a web designer and offering hosting as well, how are you limited to domain registrations?

Anyway, good luck with it and keep us informed about your pro-bono-or-not web design adventures!

Marjolein,

Ooops, hadn't really proofed it yet. I have it live online now at http://donkeysass.com/ but still figuring out the new host's admin stuff. I can't get Dreamweaver to connect to the FTP, but can get in with Filezilla, at least.

I'll fix that text then dive back into figuring out the new host tonight.

Dennis

Somehow, I don't think he'd be interested in my services.

Ann,

thanks, but it won't likely ever grow to a full-time job; I can only host 20 domains at the current level. And I think I'm already past 10.

Not sure what you mean in your BTW...

The Why... and Who... headers seem to be reversed, according to the content below each. I've attached a screen shot.

Dennis,

Your new site shows how creative you really are. It runs deeper than I had known. However, did you get the idea from your competition?? ie. Balaam's Ass.
