As I noted in my other thread, I've been working on an old Dell laptop getting it ready to send up to ME for my (shhhhh...great) niece.
I decided to update her version of Reader (9) and tried to do it from the Help but it was a no go so off I popped to Adobe's website. It took me forever to find the Reader download because although there was what turned out to be the appropriate link on their homepage, the current version of Reader is ridiculous. It's something called "Acrobat Reader DC" where "DC" translates to "document cloud". Oh joy!!! Oh fabjous day!!! Just what I always wanted. To be attached online to Adobe for any pdf I read...and...Adobe has now figured out how to sneakily charge for Reader because of course, that "document cloud" ain't free... I went to oldapps.com, downloaded and installed Reader 11... Terrie |
