Default Is Windows 11 necessary?

I already know everyone's answer here. But here it what a PC World Reviewer said.

I spent yesterday evening updating my back-up desktop computer (Windows 10), which hasn't been used for several months. Windows Update helpfully informed me that that computer is not capable of running Windows 11. I was pleased -- that means I won't have to worry about Microsoft doing a stealth "upgrade" without my consent.

Evidence?

I considered installing it on one of my VMs but it looked from afar as though the installer would spit at me if I tried it.

Installing it on a real PC? Naw, not until it's out of beta. That'd be Win11v3 at least.

steve: Evidence?
Evidence that Microsoft will thrust Windows 11 on your system without your consent and behind your back?

Surely, sir, you jest?

Ahhhh...you say...but, but, but Microsoft told me my system wasn't Windows 11 capable...

And, of course, Microsoft never changes its rules to suit its marketing and global powermongering?

Right...yeah....

Now...about that bridge...

When Windows 10 was first [s]introduced[/s] foisted upon us, I had to run a background utility to prevent Windows 10 replacing Windows 7 without my permission. I would certainly expect Microsoft to lie about Windows 11.

Nice theory, but as I said ... evidence?
