Except that I'm fairly certain "LTE" doesn't stand for Long Term Edition.

I've been doing more research into this. What I am beginning to suspect is that the Deluxe program and the Deluxe LTE program both perform the same functions. However, the company is actively trying to woo customers away from AutoCAD LT (the "junior varsity" version of AutoCAD). In order to do that, they took their Deluxe version and grafted on a ribbon menu that's [apparently] supposed to closely mimic the AutoCAD LT ribbon menu.

So the LTE version requires users to pay $50 extra for NO additional functionality, just for the privilege of getting a copy of another company's horrible ribbon menu. Doesn't strike me as a great deal.
