Default Microsoft Publisher

How many people who are trying to be self-publishers for books have, or have access to, Microsoft Publisher?

I just did another Internet search, and I wasn't able to find any Publisher templates for books. Book cover, yes. Actual books -- no. Considering the number of people who seem to be venturing into writing and self-publishing, I can't understand why there are NO book templates out there for Microsoft Publisher.

Is it because people who aren't in a position to buy into Adobe InDesign are just doing it in Word?
