Default InDesign doc mini mockups for printer?

Is there some quick little trick for printing miniatures of pages of an InDesign document? I want to give a mockup of the project to the printer as an imposition go-by.

Dunno. I always send full size proofs, myself, and the printers never ask for anything else.

ID doesn't use the normal Mac printing dialog box?
IOW, if you choose File, Print then choose Layout from the listboxwithnoname, can you choose more than one page per sheet and have ID respect the setting?

Ah. Yes, that ought to work. As we type I'm printing it that way to PDF as a test first...

Oo, very interesting and a little alarming: I try to open the huge PDF and Acrobat tells me "This file is damaged but is being repaired" while the pizza wheel spins away. Hopefully it'll do something productive with the file soon...
