Default Vista free for me...'-}}

I saw an ad in the Washington Post for a photo expo this past weekend and I decided to go and bought raffle tickets knowing full well that I never win anything...

Just to prove me wrong, I won not once but twice...for the same thing...

A copy of Windows Vista Ultimate! 2 copies!!!

I have to send the postcards to Microsoft and I'm hoping it doesn't take 6 months to get here and that they will honor both postcards--I wrote a letter explaining that I had 2 raffle tickets...

I figure I can sell them on ebay for a pretty penny...'-}}

Terrie:

Congratulations! You can sell one copy and put it towards the cost of a new computer that can run the other copy of Vista Ultimate.

<hehehe>Cool! Now you get to go out and drop $600 for a pair of video cards</hehehe>

No. Make that $300 cause you probably just use one of the licenses as a scofflaw installing it under Parallels on a Mac, right?

Your praising her for her wise choice would, I think, be funnier.

Like wow, Kathleen! Vista is, after all, "the world's best general purpose operating system." (quote Microsoft, 2006)

I guess that leaves most exotic and most usable for Linux and OS X,

Indeed! However, I have given some thought to getting one of the new Intel Macs and running it with Windows OS but I'd have to have the money to buy the Mac int he first place which is the problem...'-}}
