Default InDesignCS2 - Drop cap problem

Hi all,

I've been using InDesign CS2 for some time now (actually a couple of months) and I face a problem that drives me nuts. Every time I apply drop cap, (particularly when I apply drop cap on larger number of lines, let's say between 5 and 10) I've got quite large gap between left edge of the drop cap and the left edge of the text column. No need to say that first line left indent is always set as 0 (zero). The only option to overcome this, that I can think of, is to convert drop cap into outlines, left-aligned it with the column, and then apply text wrap. But InDesignCS2 is too powerful software for this middle-age approach, it must be something else.

Thanks for any help
