Off line for a (short) week

Just a heads-up so you all won't worry that I've suddenly disappeared into thin air. ;-)

I'm off, because 1) tomorrow's my dad's birthday, and 2) yesterday I got the last bit delivered of my new digicam set of equipment and I'm going to practice (and start on my new project if it goes well).

This is what I got (gathered together from 4 online stores...) - linking to English-language sites so everyone can understand:

• Fuji Finepix F30 - see reviews here and here - with a Hama hardcase to protect it
• A little USB thumbdrive-size card reader for the XD cards the camera takes
• A Vosonic VP6230i image tank with a 80GB drive inside (full specs)
• Two 1GB XD memory cards; a spare battery for the camera and one for the image tank

Lots of fun in store - and reading: the camera manual is a whopping 164 pages (in one language)!

And all of that will - in addition to my analog EOS 5 - travel with me to North Korea and Beijing in September.
