Default P22 goes OpenType

News from P22 type foundry:

As of January 2007, the P22 type foundry library has been remastered in basic OpenType format (TrueType and Type 1 also remain available). The OT fonts include a euro symbol, improved outlines, updated kerning, standardized Unicode for proper international language support, reworked hinting for improved on-screen readability, and standardized menu names.

Registered users of P22 fonts may upgrade to the new re-mastered font sets (and single fonts) for $10 each.

The IHOF, Lanston, Rimmer & Sherwood collections are not yet available in OT format, but they will be converted to basic OpenType format throughout 2007.

P22 ephemera packs — catalogs, postcards, expired P22 dollars, stickers, packaging and other typographic ephemera printed letterpress, offset, silkscreen, laser, and even by rubber stamp — are available until sold out. They come in three sizes: $10, $20, and 30 each.

Finally, you can join the P22 Club until January 31, and get 20% off all purchases during 2007. Besides that, you get four single fonts free, an exclusive for-members-only font, and more for your $100/year.
