Default National No-Email Day

National No-Email Day was announced by someone in the UK, lets get some work done today instead of fighting the In-Tray.

So my cable supplier NTL upgraded the TV cable software, and by coincidence maybe, suffered a fault in the Brighton area. So as my set was turned off to let it cool down, otherwise digital TV suffers from poor speech synchronisation, we did not get the upgrade downloaded in the middle of the night, and there was a 30 minute queue of angry customers on the help desk.

So if anyone thought of sending me an Email - Tough. I have taken the dog for a walk instead. But having got back from the beach, suddenly it is working again after all. Why, no one will guess.

Trouble is these days I rely on the Internet for a dictionary, a map, the news, and letters to the editor of the local paper. Its tough even thinking of going back to paper. A day suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
