Can anyone help a dinosaur get to grips with mobile phone technology.
In my car I have several CDs made up of folders of albums by the same band. When I insert the cd into the player it starts at the first folder and plays the tracks in that folder in order then moves on to the next folder plays those tracks and so on until it reaches the end. I am trying but failing to replicate this in Music Player on an Android phone. If I put several folders in an enclosing folder Music Player does not recognise the enclosing folder as having any music in it. If I start it playing folder 1 it stops after that folder. If I take all the tracks and put them in a single folder ordered by album then track for reasons best known to Music Player the "play in folder order" option disappears and it plays everything in alphabetical order. Music Player seems to rely heavily on the mp3 meta data. Is there any way of turning this off and insisting it plays the tracks it's pointed at? Or is there another app which will will do what I want it to? Any ideas gratefully received. Barrie Greed |
