Default Laptop reliability 2015

I guess it depends on which source you read. But I just read consumer reports and:

1. Apple
2. Samsung and Gateway
3. Acer and Lenovo
4. HP, Toshiba, Dell and Asus

As for me, my Vaio had a hard disk failure the first year, and my Toshiba has a keyboard failure the second year. And because I'm now on a two year replace cycle, it's time to buy again. And having a broken keyboard is also motivation.

I really need to work something out here, because my two fallback laptops turned out to be less reliable than my my older desktop that is so bloated with drivers (and possibly maleware) it's overall speed is glacial.
