Default 400 nits of OLED

I'll just skip past the alternate meaning of "nit" and get right to what is means in computers. It means how much light per square meter. And less than 400 nits is what one computer reviewer advised against. And who am I to argue. And she was right. My latest computer (HP Spectre 360 convertible touch) with 400 nits and it makes my previous 200 nits computer look sick. And now when I watch a movie I feel like I'm watching a movie.

Okay, what about OLED. Well, you've heard of LED, and the "O" means organic. This kind of LED doesn't need backlight because it puts out enough light and covers a wide range of visible light. Plus I can view it from a lot of angles.

The only problem with the organic material in an OLED screen is I have to feed and water it once a week. Otherwise it gets cranky and refuses to budge. So once a week I wipe my screen with chicken soup.

Chicken soup only helps colds if your mom made it. The store-bought kind doesn't work.

S'funny ... the Japanese say the same kind of thing about rice-balls; the ones mom makes are the best.
