I have had to give up temporarily on Snippetmaster, so please forgive yet another (probably stupid) question (though I am glad that thread was helpful to David!)
This time, I am about to upgrade ( rather late) to Joomla! v1.0.11. I've already done the patch to VirtueMart which was easy as it's quite small, but the base product is a lot more files. I am (obviously) advised to backup the site and the database first. The d/b is easy as I've already done (and tested) it several times; the site was a bit trickier as the download didn't do anything, but I eventually got the FTP option to work, so everything is safely copied now! So now I'm ready to go, v1.0.8 to 11. I have the patch downloaded and all the files extracted ready to copy: but I haven't managed to find a definitive list of what I need to watch out for in terms of overwriting. My templates are not the default, so won't get splatted and I have made no changes to the actual code that I know of: but what other files (in the root, or elsewhere) do I need to preserve? footer.php yes, what else?
