My current scanner, Microtek x12usl, may well have died. (Could also be the SCSI controller; will know which in a day or so.) I am looking for suggestions for scanners in the under $250 range. I have had several Microteks and really like the Twain driver, mostly because it supports multiple selections to be scanned in sequence. I often have several small pictures to scan. That said, this particular scanner is not at all well sealed. Every couple of months I have to remove the cover and blow dust and cat hair off the internals.
None of the scanning I do requires highly accurate color. |
