How old? I have some 10-15 year old laptops around. Most of them never had docking ports (I had to look into this for one set, after Sandy). And in general, I haven't see an docking port with a parallel since even earlier than that.

About 25 years! I have an ancient Compaq Armada 7400 circa 1998/99 which has parallel and serial ports, a docking station port as well as vga, usb, ps/2 and infra red interfaces.

I still have a laptop + docking station with a parallel port but, you definitely made me look. I'd forgotten how long I've had this little gem (a Lenovo Thinpad X61). A Wikipedia article on the X series reminded me that the computer was released in 2007, and a cursory once-over of some of Lenovo's later docks didn't cough up one with a parallel port, so yep, 15 years ago or so for this one.
