18 lb printer paper

I was using HP EcoEFICIENT 18 lb paper and now it's unavailable. In fact, I can't get 18 lb printer paper of any brand. Nor can I find 16lb of any brand. All there seems to be is 20lb or more. And for me 20lb is too cumbersome.

Any suggestions?

Edit: I found a place that says they have it so i ordered it. Now I will wait to see if I get and email telling me they can't fill the order because they are out of stock.

16lb and 18lb paper are pretty much not to be found no matter who makes it. I did find ONE place that does not have a "not available" notice for the HP 18lb paper. I have no idea if zoro.com is reputable, but I figured it might be worth checking it out but don't be disappointed if it proves to be phantom. Given what I found when searching, I think that 20lb is what you are going to have to switch to. It's so annoying when they change stuff that you prefer to use and they do it without warning which is...rude! '-}}

I found some. The 18lb paper is considered proof paper of internal memo paper. But anything above that seems oddly heavy to me. Maybe because I never used anything that heavy in a typewriter.

I'm glad you were able to find some. Where did you find it? Did you do other searches using "memo paper" or "internal memo paper"?





I can't remember when I started using 24lb paper. I may even have bought the first ream by mistake but, I really like it because it feels more substantial. Whenever I'm over at my sister's place and print something there, it surprises me at how flimsey the paper feels and then I remember I'm not printing off my own system...'-}}





Did you have a chance to check out that zoro.com link in my last post and did it seem legit?

As for Zoro, they are charging full price, which is twice as much.

Given what I found, I'm not surprised zoro's prices are high. I'm so glad you found the paper at a reasonable price. I wonder why HP discontinued it--at least as far as I can tell, they've discontinued it.

They probably sold more of the 20-pound weight by a factor of ten times or (more likely) 100 times, which would translate into being able to sell the 20-pound for half the price of the 18-pound -- which wouldn't enhance sales.

I wouldn't want to use anything lighter than 20-pound, personally.

You know, I kept thinking that "zoro" was familiar and yesterday I was rooting around in an old folder and there it was, a receipt from zoro.com for American Standard bathroom faucet aerators that I ordered via Walmart where zoro is a 3rd party seller. I even have a password for the site...


Sooo...that answers the question as to whether they are legitimate or not because they are, or, were in April 2018...'-}}
