I made a few logo concepts for a local website so they can choose a favorite. I figured some of you fellow designers might like to gimme some feedback. It would be appreciated. They're all contained in two relatively small PNG files. Hopefully they won't be "forbidden" from viewing...
Logos S'more Logos Thanks much! Fixed links (4/12) Last edited by Ronald; 04-12-2010 at 03:29 PM. |

They are viewable now. I rather like the set on the second page. The first page are too stereotypical. The version with the larger o to represent the car wheel is cool, but I'm not sure it is necessary.

Ronald,
All the first set give initially the impression of incorporating Daimler-Benz's star, which, I fancy, would not be allowed even to Mercedes agents. The second set is both safer and better. __________________ Michael |

However, if the client doesn't appreciate them, the logo in the first set with the red car wasn't bad for a more traditional sort of logo. Not in the same class as the second set, though, IMO. __________________ .. ..Franca .. ![]() |

I think the second set is much more refined and sophisticated...

Thank you all for the comments. I welcome anyone else to critique if they haven't.
Yes, the first batch is pretty basic stuff. The second batch was somewhat inspired by a recent car commercial, the car shape was anyway. The font gives it an almost retro feel which I like, but on the other hand, the overall style is slick, cat-like - almost sexy, which I'm not sure would be fitting for a local car outlet/repair/towing business. My second qualm is that this is website logo, so I'd probably want to give it some color. If I did choose one from the first batch, I'd probably go with the Googie/retro futuristic one in the top right, simply because I like that old style and would have fun incorporating it throughout a site layout, should they have me make it. |
