Adobe acquired the technology assets of Pixmantec, makers of RawShooter. Adobe plans to integrate Pixmantec's RAW technology into its own products. RawShooter Premium is discontinued, but Adobe will provide support and upgrade paths to users. The free RawShooter Essentials product will continue until Adobe Lightroom is released.
http://www.pixmantec.com/ One part of this story is missing for me. Pixmantec has an arrangement with Corel regarding RawShooter Essentials. I guess that will be out the window soon. |
