Okay, so thanks for all the help with the other thread. good stuff. Now I would like to take my images and insert them into a pagemaker document. I have about 700 images, I know how to do it the hard way. I just figured that there was a way to automate the process. Anything just so that I dont have to insert each image one at a time. Let me sum this up again.
Insert multiple images into a Pagemaker 7 document simultaneously. Thanks, Jon |

Hmmm...I've never tried this but...I wonder if Pagemaker's Picture Palette might help--see Window > Plug-in Palettes > Picture Palette... You'd need to create your own picture palette by loading your images--I'd suggest you do it in batches... Once loaded, you may be able to select mulitple images and have them loaded onto a page... Hope this helps... Terrie |

With a Mac, you can drag multiple image files from a folder into an open PageMaker document to place them in bulk. You still have to size and arrange them manually, though. I don't know if this is possible with a Win machine.
There may be a way to script this, but my PageMaker scripting is a bit rusty, so I'll leave that to others to explain. Perhaps a query in the "Automating DTP" section would attract the attention of one of our scripting experts. __________________ Jonathan |

[Dragging photos in]
Neet. Seems to work just fine here (Win2K, Pagemaker 7.whatever) __________________ Steve Rindsberg ==================== www.pptfaq.com www.pptools.com and stuff |

Cool...I didn't know that... Although there's a bit of set-up work in using the picture palette, it might be easier to drag from there...at least for me because I always use my apps full screen so dragging from a folder of images to PM would be a pita and the picture palette is open right within PM... Mac people seem to use their monitor screens differently than pc users--or maybe it's just the way *I* use my monitor screen--with many apps opened not in full screen mode. Terrie |
