For me the annoying thing is that the HP AIO's I've has were good (G85 and a Photosmart Premium). But I wouldn't want to buy one if that stuff* is going on! Like you I got a Brother, which I'm very happy with.

Is your Brother an AIO??? I've never been a fan of AIO's but, when my sister's printer died and she needed something rightthisminute, we stumbled across a cute (very small footprint) Brother AIO (MFCJ410W)--my sister had always wanted an AIO--at a local office supply place for $60! I figured if it lasted even as little as 6-8 months, it would be worth the price. It's still working well after 6-7 years. It was that more than anything that pushed me to take a look and see what Brother had to offer in monochrome laser printers. Their 5470DW has worked out quite nicely for me... Terrie |

It is an AIO, but since it is an A3 one we're not talking small footprint. Initially it was the scanner we were after, but the print quality is great as well. https://www.brother.co.uk/printers/i...rs/mfc-j5330dw

Thanks for the link...it's a nice looking printer. My sister did some photo printing using Brother's-branded photopaper and I was surprised at how well it did for not being a "photo" printer--I really was expecting the output to be crap and...it wasn't...'-}}
