I thought so too! It's likely that if the client wanted emails as email (vs. text archive) that someone would be hired to set it up and would be savvy enough to figure out what would be appropriate email software.

My sister is really pleased with the output from the ImportExport Tool addon. It really is a nifty little piece of software with a fair bit of flexibility built in.
