I installed BullZip and so far, I like it. I'm not really sure why I tried it first but, I love the name. They have multiple versions--feature comparison of the free and 3 other categories ranging in price from $29 to $139. I've not played with it enough to see if the limitations on the free version are too stringent for my needs--for example "fast web view" is not available in the free version and while I've always checked the option in Acrobat, I don't know if not having it will be an issue.

The interesting thing is that it requires Ghostscript Lite, PDF Power Tool and XPDF and during the install, a pop-up window displays with these 3 listed (allows you to uncheck any of them I guess if you already have them) and they are downloaded and installed as part of the general installation process which is nice. Having seen this I think my comment the other day about CutePDF needing an additional software is likely common to all these non-Adobe/Acrobat versions--made sense once I thought about it as these are how they get around Adobe's proprietary PDF code.

The following are the other print to pdf software options that are on my list to also try if BullZip turns out not to be workable for me:

1. PrimoPDF - "Create PDF files with the world's most popular free PDF creator. With just one click, turn virtually any kind of file into a 100% industry-standard PDF"

2. PDFreDirect - "Create, Merge, Encrypt, Optimize, and Preview PDF Files. Completely Free: even for commercial use. No Nagware: No popups (unlike PDF995) and no watermarks."

3. CutePDF Writer

4. DoPDF - Version comparisons

5. PDFCreator - free version might have adware in setup, pro version ($16.90/yr)...scanned clean both by MBAM and my antivirus software...
