Somewhere, long ago, i posted a link to an Adobe page that provides a way to activate their products that no longer have an activation server. I don't remember the thread title. I'm pretty sure I used it to activate Acrobat.

The problem is, Acrobat keeps doing annoying things, and I can't remember what those are now. Maybe it asks me to register, which is not the same as activation. Or maybe it is something else. I can't remember because I no longer use it. I bought a different PDF program that doesn't do those annoying things. But I can't remember the name of this different software, so I'll go click on a PDF and see what happens. Aha! It's Foxit PhantomPDF, with its annoying ribbon menu. But I don't know which PDF printer I'm using. And I don't remember because WordPerfect can generate PDFs on its own.

Despite all of this, I do like having Acrobat working for me, because it can do some things Foxit cannot. I remember firing it up to solve some problems. I just don't remember what those problems were. But I do remember turning to it for help. Maybe because I have the pro version. If you are not using Pro, than maybe you don't need it at all, and all that I wrote here it pointless, unless it leads you to that post I made long ago about the Adobe page where you can activate legacy products.

Edit: found it! http://www.desktoppublishingforum.co...light=activate
