Tabs & browsers & add-ons...oh, my!
And I love tabs and hate multiple windows! I don't open a new window or tab with the intention of using it and closing it again right away. When I close a new tab/window right away I invariably wish I hadn't. New windows never come up in the right place or at the right size; they always necessitate moving and resizing not only of themselves but often of other open windows as well. Switching between windows can be a pain. An additional tab, OTOH, is easily accessible and never in my way. I have two tabs open on different parts of this thread right now - one for the QR box I'm typing in and one for the post I'm replying to so I can refer to it without having to scroll up. I could do the same with a second window but not as handily.
