Deep Paint is free now.
Right Hemisphere discontinued development of Deep Paint in favor of Deep Paint 3D. They also released a special version of Deep Paint 2.0 that is free.
You can read the announcement about this here. And the download spot is at download.com. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Deep Paint, it is digital painting software that is able to make brush strokes that are far superior to bitmap editors like Photoshop. I tested version 1, and considered it a peer to Painter, although not up to the level of Painter for natural media simulation. It did, however, have some interesting stroke textures that I could see used in greeting cards, advertising, and the like. That was version 1, and the download is version 2, and it might be that the natural media simulation improved. According to the posting area, Deep Paint 2.0 requires Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 64MB RAM P 200-MMX processor. |
