Default Adobe security bulletin

Adobe has issued a warning about a vulnerability in Adobe Download Manager 2.1 and earlier versions (any installed prior to December 5, 2006).
A critical vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Download Manager 2.1 and earlier versions that could allow an attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability to take control of the affected system. This issue is remotely exploitable. A malicious file must be loaded by the end user, via a web browser or e-mail client for instance, for an attacker to exploit this vulnerability. It is recommended that users uninstall Adobe Download Manager 2.1 and earlier ….

The solution for users is to delete this utility (which may be on your drive if you have downloaded Adobe software). I did not find it on my system (only the Adobe Updater); but it would make sense to check.

The link above takes you to a page with instructions (and a link to an uninstaller) for uninstalling older versions of Adobe Download Manager on both Windows and Mac systems.
